CLOTHING, FURNITURE, AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS:
We often have thoughtful community members who call and want to make donations of clothing, furniture, and other household items. Unfortunately, we are not always in a position to take those items. However, by taking your unwanted items to local thrifts stores you can still benefit us and survivors. It is a good idea to call the business before taking the items to them especially if your items are furniture or appliances to confirm they will take your items.

Homeless Contribution Tax Credit (HCTC) program
In the past, ASP has had the pleasure of participating in the Enterprise Zone Tax Credit program, which allowed donors to contribute to our work. However, starting from January 1, 2023, we will no longer participate in this program. But don’t worry, we have some exciting news to share! We now participate in the Homeless Contribution Tax Credit (HCTC) program. This means that when you make a qualifying donation to ASP, you can receive a 30% state income tax credit. We’re thrilled to be able to offer our donors this opportunity to continue supporting our mission in a new and impactful way.
